Founded in 1989, Lighting Innovations grew from the dream of bringing the best lighting in the world to South Africa.
Now approaching our third decade in the pursuit of that dream, not only have we managed to bring in the best, but we have started to produce the best, and have carried out successful projects as far abroad as South America and even Marion Island in the South Indian Ocean.

Today, Lighting Innovations can truly claim to be a complete lighting solutions provider, from the in-house design and manufacture of custom lighting solutions to the specification, supply and commissioning of the world’s best lighting brands. Our track record in major projects is as strong as our ability to accommodate small, individual applications where the right application of light could make all the difference.

Finally, we are giving off light of a different kind. Not only has our commitment to the environment been proven through pioneering work in energy efficient lighting, but we recognise our responsibility in bringing light into the lives of those around us. Employing more than 130 people, we strive to maximise local manufacture, to drive the transfer of skills and to provide optimum working conditions.

To this end, our 7 500 square meter facility in Wynberg, Johannesburg contains some of the very latest, most advanced equipment available in the manufacture of lighting products worldwide. This includes an automatic wiring facility, precision CNC machines, fully automated powder coating plant and dedicated cabling division. This commitment to invest in the local lighting manufacturing market is, we believe, what distinguishes Lighting Innovations as South Africa’s foremost provider of lighting solutions.

Modern Showrooms
Lighting Innovations has 500 square meters of modern showroom space with practical examples of the application of its wide product range.
The showroom is a ‘living’ space where the correct solution to project lighting requirements can be visualised. Comparison of different lighting techniques is demonstrated in modular office spaces and the advantages of a wide range of luminaires can be demonstrated.

As a complete lighting company we understand the advantages of clients to not only seeing a luminaire but seeing a luminaire in the correct installed enviroment. Not only did we design our numerous displays to provide conceptual variations and new ideas, but they serve to enlighten our customers in every way possible on their way to selecting the most appropriate solution for their lighting requirements.
